A Professional makeup artist and business woman for over 20 years, Sharon Sharpe-Titus has utilized her extensive background in formulation and colour selection to create her own brand of makeup. SST Cosmetics.
Sharon began as a model then moved into an education position for a major cosmetic company, but her success didn’t end there. Her drive and passion for the beauty industry propelled her into creating one of the most successful beauty distributions in Canada.
Sharon expressed a natural talent for artistry at a young age. Her keen eye for colour and texture which influences her work as a makeup artist, was derived from her experiences with art and painting.
SST Cosmetics is a brand that has a conscience for the integrity of the skin. It is a sophisticated, high fashion line with a focus on quality ingredients, free of harsh chemicals. This formulation produces exceptional colour and elegant textures to help you put your best face forward.
Melissa’s philosophy is as follows – believe in what you do and the rest comes easy. There is no exception when it comes to the product she helps develop, manage and educate on. Her passion for SST Cosmetics comes from knowing that SST is the best in the industry.
Melissa has worked closely with Sharon for 9 years in the beauty industry and continues to grow her artistry and platform skills thru workshops and education.
When Melissa is not managing day to day tasks of brand development her focus is on educator development. She works closely with her team of educators to ensure that Salons and Spas in the field are getting the best education possible when it comes to a makeup brand. Knowledge is Power when it comes too SST. “A knowledgeable sales associate selling a product that performs is the most powerful tool any salon can have”.
Candace, an SST Educator since the initial training in 2007 has worked in the beauty industry for about 8 years. “What brought me to the industry was the ability to make someone feel good about themselves, have fun at work, be an individual, and the creative art aspect of the industry just to mention a few. Her future goals are to own and operate salons across Canada, work on a Hollywood motion picture, and become a master stylist/makeup artist. “I personally believe in the path that SST Cosmetics has chosen. I stand behind all SST product’s and am proud to represent a brand that is a high fashion, quality line that is only available in salons and spas and that is free from harsh chemicals, parabens and undesirable ingredients. I myself can vouch that this is the ONLY makeup I can wear on my face. I’ve had my share of skin problems and for the first time in my life I’m not on a prescription pill for acne! I love the way my skin looks and feels with SST cosmetics. And every time I apply it on my clients I am blown away on the immediate improvement on tone, texture, and hydration that it brings to our skin! SST Cosmetics Rocks!”
Stephanie Roy was one of the first to join the SST family in 2008. She is originally from Quebec, where she completed her schooling in cosmetology. After graduating, she was eager to see the world and explore new horizons – Banff, Alberta became her new home where she has now been living for 12 years.
After overcoming her language barrier thru various jobs, she stumbled upon a hair shop owned by a French couple. What a perfect place to start doing hair! After a few years of working in the hair industry Stephanie was given the opportunity to head to Los Angeles for cutting classes. This is where she met Sharon Sharpe-Titus, and from there on out, always looked up to Sharon as a role model for success. With Banff being such a tourist and attraction town, it is also a destination wedding capital. In 2001 Stephanie felt the need to add make-up artistry to her resume. The demand for the bridal industry grew significantly and allowed Stephanie to build a thriving business. After using a few different brands of make-up over the years, it was such a treat when Sharon launched SST cosmetics. “It is so gratifying to work for a company that is health and skin conscious”.
Kaelee has been in the beauty industry for almost a decade. She was drawn to the industry due to her strong passion for art and love of drawing. At nineteen she started working as a receptionist at a busy salon and spa. “I realized that this was the industry I wanted to be in and had many new opportunities! I was later promoted to salon manager and then spa manager”. After working more closely with the spa and esthetic world, she made the decision to go to esthetics school, attending the Esthetics Institute, in Calgary, Alberta as well as Purely Inspired Academy of Beauty in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Kaelee has had the opportunity to do the makeup for a music video shot in Calgary and is currently pursuing more behind the scene work on photo shoots and music videos, but her true passion will always lie with being in the salon and having relationships with clients, co-workers and friends. “SST is a line of cosmetics that has helped me extend my successes in the industry. One of my favorite things about SST cosmetics is the difference that people notice in their complexion. Not only do people love that the products are mineral-based, but they can’t believe the weightless feel and the flawless, airbrushed finish to their skin. Also with my skincare clients- the ingredients in the products have made dramatic improvements in clients with acne problems and skin sensitivities. Personally, for the first time in over almost five years- this is the first time I have EVER been able to stop taking my medication for my acne. I can actually say at this moment I don’t have one blemish on my face!
